Spirits of Egypt
Spirits of Egypt By Tara Rated Pg 13-R ( I know the story of episode Dimension doom very well, however, I have redone it and changed it. I always thought Wizz-Ra was such a wonderful character and to only have him in one show was a crime. So this is my version. Thundercats… Ho!) Thousands of years ago, back when Third Earth was still new there was a noble Priest, who fought against evil. The gods of goodness had endowed him with the Golden helmet of Fanun, and with it he was able to control the minds of men. This man was more then just a mortal, he was a sorcerer, an ingenious inventor, he was the guardian of the undead, and he was the high priest Wizz-ra. Legendary power was within his grasp, and he did not bend down to the will of any unholy creature, or demonic power. Ramsies was the ruler, the reigning Pharaoh over the entire ancient world. Wizz-Ra also had the blood of the mighty Ramsies dynasty running through his veins, after all he was the Pharaoh’s younger half brother. Magic did not run in his family, this one man was chosen to be a great and all powerful wizard. Wizz-Ra commanded the Pharaoh’s unstoppable army. All of Egypt bowed and cowered to this great noble man, and his unfathomable strength. Wizz-Ra was the right hand of the gods and the left hand of the Pharaoh. Destiny was about to unfold itself, the Egyptian gods had granted Wizz-Ra the knowledge of the future, he knew what was going to happen to him, he had seen it clearly in a vision. The God’s of Egypt had foreseen the end of the world, the beginning of a new civilization. Wizz-Ra was chosen to watch the destruction of all that he had known, all that was important to him. Just to survive in exile in the Seventh Dimension. This was Wizz-Ra’s last night, in the land of the living, in the morning it was predestined that a great battle was to be raged between him and the ancient Devil Priest Mumm-Ra. Mumm-Ra had fought for years, trying to overtake Wizz-Ra and to gain control over the land. However each time Wizz-Ra and his army had been able to repel his advances, until now. Mumm-Ra in his anger and lust for power had sold his soul to the Ancient Sprit’s Of Evil, and in return they were to grant him immortal life. Wizz-Ra lowered himself to the cliff’s edge; he swung his bronzed legs over the side of the jagged rock face. From his perch he gazed across the vast dessert, he could see the dark silhouettes of the tombs, the final resting place of the kings of his past. The pyramids stood off in the horizon of this archaic region. The city of Heliopolis nestled on the east back of the Nile River, which was spread out just below him. .The wizard sighed and leaned back watching over the backlands with protecting eyes, guarding over the Valley of his ancestry the land of the Pharaohs. Not once did he question his position, but he was afraid of weathering such a vast spread of time, until he was once again freed. He had no idea of how long he would have to wait in exile until once again the gods would free him, to complete his destiny. Wizz-Ra glanced towards the vast mossy colored water of the Nile River. This ancient river cuts its way through the sand. He could see the faint torches burring from the statues of Mut and Anute that lined his alabaster stone palace. This was his home, he was born here. It was built just on the bank of the river, timeless and everlasting. Yes he would miss this the most; he loved walking down to the edge of ancient river and swimming among its tall reeds. This fresh water, was the very life force of Egypt, he could not comprehend this ageless land ever changing. Even in Wizz-Ra’s most horror field dreams could he imagine what the future held, not just for him but the history of the world. Wizz-Ra sat in silence all through the night and in the morning he finally stood exhaustedly and headed towards the great Sphinx, this was the place that he was to meet Mumm-Ra, and his destiny would finally be fulfilled. He walked with a heavy heart as he watched his finial sunrise, the bright morning rays swept across the desert sand, and a warm Mediterranean breeze rushed over his dark tan skin. This was the last time the condemned wizard, saw his beloved home. Seven Thousand years later. All that had been foreseen had indeed taken place. The world was destroyed just as they had predicted, and only a small band of humans remained to even resemble the world that it once was. The world had been overtaken my hybrid mutant creatures who, came about in strange and different forms. Race’s upon Races of alien beings now ruled what once was Earth. Only the decomposing ruins still stood, of a land that was now forgotten a kingdom that once was the center of the world now dust and bones. Mumm-Ra, had decomposed slowly through the passage of time, but still he remained ever existing. Evil had not just twisted his body but it had also overtaken his mind, indeed his lust for power had made him strong, but also horrifying. One of these small bands of Aliens that now called Third Earth there home was the Thundercats. This was a race of the most amazing and kind hearted warriors that ever existed. It had been eight years since there small ship had crash-landed on this inhospitable planet. With them thy brought there idea’s of Justice, Truth, Honor, and Loyalty. This was the code in which they lived there lives, and for years now they had stood up to the archaic Wizard Mumm-Ra and fought bravely against him. Mumm-Ra plotted and planed, cursed and tried tirelessly to destroy the Thundercats. Their luck and teamwork had been able to see them trough, but it wouldn’t last forever. With out help these heroes’s would be defeated, by their immortal foe and his band of villainess warriors at his command. Yet another after-shock rocked the foundation of the Cats Lair, the home of The Thundercats, Lord Lion-o’s long fingers trailed over the monitoring system, he had just ran another sweep of the area in and attempt to ascertain just were exactly these quakes were originating form. Tygra rested his hand upon the noble king’s shoulder. “Nothing?” Lion-o looked up from the monitors and swiveled in his chair. “The epicenter seems to be coming from Hook Mountain; Just beneath the Snow mans Castle. His home has received a powerful blow, the left wing and that whole section of his Castle is destroyed.” Tygra gasped and arched his eyebrow. “Have we been able to contact Snow Man?” The lion nodded, “He is fine, for now. At first light we need to hold a council meeting we have to do something to aid Snow man.” “I’ll tell the rest of the Nobles.” With that the tiger turned and walked back through the door and down the long hallway, leading to the bed rooms of the enormous fortress. Inside Cheetara’s bed chamber rested the female Cheetah, she slept wrapped tightly in the cover of her blankets. Her yellow spotted hair was strewn about the mauve colored pillow case. The woman was completely unaware of the ghostly figure, watching her every movement from inside the Mirror in her room. Wizz-Ra sighed and laid his hand upon the glass, this was the very portal that was the entrance from the Seventh Dimension to Third Earth. Its was indeed fortuitous that the door way to his prison was the same looking glass in the she cat Cheetara’s room. Wizz-Ra had watched and adored the enchanting feline for years, she had bewitched his mind and enflamed his passions. Never did he realize that feelings for some one could be so strong, as the feeling’s that he had been fighting with for this lovely creature. Who now lay just ten feet away from him. He had talked to her in her dreams, he had calmed her soul when she needed a friendly voice, but yet she barely knew that he existed. Wizz-Ra had learned so much about Cheetara and her friends, and he was completely spell bound with their ideals. Thousands of years ago, the Thundercats would be considered gods by the prophecies of his people. Yet he came to realize that they were only mortal, he had seen this woman, fight sickness. Wizz-Ra had watched helplessly as she unselfishly shrugged off broken bones, and painful sprains. Every time he saw this it tormented his soul not being able to do any thing to stop her anguish. This woman deserved to be a queen, not the battle hardened warrior that he now saw. A quiet wrap at the door, brought the wizard back to reality as he slunk back further in the cover of the two way mirror. He watched the lovely woman begin to stir from her dreams and wake to the sound of the intruding knock. “Come in.” The cheetah sleepily said as she sad up in her bed and whisked the sheet tighter around her shapely form. The she cat’s door slid aside and the orange and black striped cat entered, “I’m sorry to wake you, but Lion-o had just announced a meeting, in the council room with in the hour.” Cheetara sighed and wiped the sleep from her tired eyes. “Trouble again?” “Afraid so.” The Tiger said with a grin. The female nodded, “I’ll just take a quick shower, and I’ll be there before you miss me.” Tygra smiled and tossed the woman her black robe from off the back of her chair, then hastened his pace from the room. Cheetara took one more chance to flop back into her soft bed, she stretched and ran her fingers through her disheveled hair. Getting up was the last thing on her mind, but if duty called then she would have no choice but to answer. Once again she pulled herself from the bed tossed the robe across her shoulders and stood. Her pale colored feet staggered clumsily towards the bathroom, and into the white tile shower to refresh. Once Cheetara’s bath was complete, she dressed and stood in front of the mirror, to take a few moments to primp. Wizz-Ra inched closer to the woman, he traced the image of her face with his delicate hand. He wished only to be free, from his everlasting tomb to have what he desired most in the world. Tara felt a hand brush upon her face and she threw herself back in shock. Panic rose from her breast she felt that she was not alone in her room. She could not see the phantom but she sensed that he was there. Stunned the wizard jerked his hand back. “Impossible!” The woman closed her eyes, and breathed slowly. “I know you’re here.” she whispered, “This is not the first time I felt you.” Wizz-Ra’s mind raced. “Show yourself.” The cheetah ordered as she inspected her quiet surroundings. The echo of a man began to speak in a thickly accented voice. “Cheetara…” The female screeched . “That voice! I know you!” Cheetara’s breathing became erratic, and she bit her lip. “You’re him, the man from my dreams.” The wizard lowered his head, and looked upon his formless hands. “I will never hurt you. Do not be alarmed.” He said in a most comforting tone. “I don’t know how you know me, but yes I have visited you many times.” “Where are you?” The woman stammered. “Look inside your reflection in the looking glass that is where you shall find me.” Cheetara cautiously approached the Mirror; her hand slightly trembled when she placed it upon the smooth surface. Wizz-Ra also imbedded his palm into the other side over hers, both gasped and pulled away. Instead of feeling an inanimate object both of them had felt flesh. The ancient wizard was almost in tears as he realized that the spell that held him trapped in the Seventh Dimension was no more. The hour had finally struck, he was once again needed in the land of the living. “Beautiful Cheetara, I am a noble man from a ancient world, I was trapped with in another dimension by my gods. Until the time they saw fit to free me, to combat evil and to once and for all defeat the inhuman powers of the Devil Priest Mumm-Ra.” All the color drained from the woman palate. “Wizz-Ra?” The wizard heart jumped to hear his name escape from her tantalizing lips. “Yes.” The Mirror doorway began to glow, and a iridescent shine lit the room. The female covered her eyes to protect them from the blinding illumination, as the handsome Egyptian priest stepped from his prison and into Cheetara’s room. When she finally lowered her arm she gasped at the legend before her. The wizard was dressed in the most royal blue and cream colored kilt. Brilliant gold swathed around his neck, arms, and wrists. A emblem of the sun rested just below his stomach and a immaculate headdress adorned his handsome face. The black colored makeup around his eyes, enhanced the ebony mystique of his piercing eyes. A blood red cloak draped across his well built bronzed shoulders and down past his knees. The cheetah could not take her amber eyes off of the human. “I have had many visions of you, I have sensed you close to me. I only thought you were something I imagined.” The female said with a quivering voice, as she fought to regain her compositor before him. Wizz-Ra shook his head and then moved closer to the woman, “ I am quiet real.” He reached his hand down and grasped her delicate palm tightly in his. “You have been the only one to keep me from insanity through these last few years. I am not sure of how you know me, but I am grateful that I you do not seem to fear me.” “No I do not fear you.” She said slyly and nestled her head into his chest. The wizard flung his arms around the woman. Together they stood locked in a impassioned embrace. Lion-o and the other Thundercats still sat with dumbfounded looks upon there confused faces. As the vivacious cheetah tried to explain how she knew the wizard and how she was able to trust him so fast. One of Cheetara’s many physic visions had told her about the Egyptian prince, and had predicted his arrival into her life. The woman laid her hand down on the wizards’ broad shoulder, as she stood behind his chair in the council room. Lord Lion-o quietly snarled under his breath as he noticed Cheetara’s hand upon this stranger, he unconsciously grinded his jaw as he listened and tried to understand exactly what this meant. “Why now? Why did your gods free you now?” “Young lord, I do not know yet. But I will.” Wizz-Ra sat confidently back in his chair and smoothed his hand down his long golden goatee beneath his chin. “I do not blame you for being leery of me, however I did not condemn my self to prison with out a grand purpose. Defeating Mumm-Ra and his minions, is the reason that I am here.” Lion-o sighed and ran his hand through his scarlet colored mane. A long silence followed, until the lion finally nodded slowly and reached for Wizz-Ra’s hand. “I hope that this will be the beginning of a long and trustworthy friendship between us.” Wizz-Ra’s lip turned into a cocky grin. “I will not let you down.” Cheetara watched the Thundertank drive away down the extension bridge, and towards Hook Mountain which loomed in the far distance. The cheetah shrugged, Lion-o seemed less then pleased when she had volunteered to stand watch, and his glum expression was still seared in her mind. However what was done was done, and now she found herself alone with the Wizard. Wizz-Ra grabbed the feline tightly on the hand, “So… does guarding the Lair require standing in one spot until they return?” He teased. Cheetara shook her head. “Where are my manners? The cheetah blushed. “You have probably not eaten, I presume that you’re starving, I’ll go warm something up for you in the kitchen.” “Actually… I have a much better idea.” The Egyptian grinned mischievously. Wizz-Ra and Cheetara followed a dirt trail that led down past the thick forest, a bubbling brook past trough the overgrown trees, and brush. Cheetara got a bit nervous the deeper they went into the frontier. She kept glancing backwards making sure to keep the mighty fortress in sight. The wizard laughed. “Do not worry, nothing will happen to your home wile we are gone.” “How do you know?” She questioned. “I know.” Mumm-Ra flung himself backwards and gasped as he grabbed tight to his decomposing chest. “NOOOOOO! It can’t be!” The antique mummy blurted out, he could barely breath as he looked upon the vision that now plagued his cauldron. He was filled with terror at seeing his ancient emissary alive. “Ancient Spirits how is this possible?” Spitefully his masters hissed in answer. “Wizz-Ra has returned to stop you! Make haste with your plans, the longer he is out of the Seventh Dimension, the more his power will grow. Time is short Mumm-Ra.” With a fearsome roar the mummy disappeared leaving only the dust and haze swirling about where he once had stood. High atop Hook Mountain Lion-o and the other nobles stood in disbelief at the sight of the once immaculate castle now the entire side had collapsed and crumbled. Tygra shook his head and pulled his thermal Thundercoat tighter around himself. “Whewww.. Looks like we have our work cut out for us.” Panthro slapped the tiger hard on the back. “Don’t we always.” The panther retorted and he stalked to the edge of the stone wall and imbedded a large mechanical staff in the earth. “This will track the tremors with more accuracy, that way we will know exactly where there coming from. For now my suggestion is that we clear a bit of the derbies and then seal up this side with an electronic force field. That will at least protect Snow man from invaders and the weather.” Lion-o nodded and rubbed his frozen fingers together. “Great idea Panthro.” Snow man let out a relieved sigh. “ I don’t know how to thank you Thundercats.” “Heeh… don’t thank us just yet, we haven’t done anything but talk.” Lord Lion-o said with a jovial wink, then lowered his large hand down to the neck of the big white snow cat that stood next to him. Snow Meow purred softly at Lion-o’s tender touch. Wizz-Ra gazed upon the gentile winding current of the river, he watched with childlike eyes at everything around him. The spray of the water rushed up onto his ankles and his well muscled calves, as he walked deeper into the cool water. The wizard tilted his head back allowing the suns rays to catch his ancient face. The human breathed deeply talking in every new and wonderful sent, the moist air, and the wild flowers. “How much things have changed.” The wizard remarked to himself. Cheetara was sitting on the edge of the rocky surface her legs were dangling into the river. The female grinned and playfully splashed some water towards the Egyptian, drenching his clothing. The noble prince turned and smiled, He whisked of his enchanted helmet and tossed it and his cape back towards the woman. The cheetah caught them, her hands traced the lovely golden emblem that adorned his magnificent hat, and then she carefully laid them down next to her. When the she cat glanced back towards Wizz-Ra, he had just untied his kilt and flung it upon the grass. The cheetah’s lovely face lit with embracement, at seeing this mans now naked bronzed body glistening just before her. She hardly had time to complain, when the wizard lifted her tight into his arms and tossed her into the current of the clear water. Cheetara heard the cats paw rise up and the Thundertank enter the hanger, it had just returned from its long journey. The female panicked as she briskly ran the towel over her still wet hair, she tossed on her boots and rushed from her room and down the long winding hall. Once inside the control center, her fingers shook as she fumbled over the control panel. She new that Lion-o would ask her about what had happened wile they were gone. But the truth is she hadn’t even run one scan of the area in their absence. From her perch high above Cheetara noticed one of the leaders of the Bulcans approaching up the main steps, she watched as he called towards Lion-o with a friendly wave. The cheetah plopped back into her chair and sighed with relief., her fingers traced her lips, and she blushed with guilt as she remembered what an incredibly fantasy filled day that her and the Egyptian had shared. Wizz-Ra didn’t return home with her , he had said that he had a few things to take care of. The man had promised that he would return at dawn, and the cheetah could barely wait. Her pulsed raced, and her heart thundered in her chest just thinking of him. Cheetara’s day dreams were quickly interrupted when the door slid aside and Lion-o thudded into the room. “Cheetara!” The woman spun in her chair. “Welcome Back Lion-o. How did things go?” “Fine.” He stated as he scratched the side of his face. “Where’s your new friend?” The woman tugged some loose hair from her eye. “Gone for a while.” Lion-o nodded, “So I take it that you didn’t have any trouble guarding this place all alone ha?” “No, things were fine in your absence.” She said and then bit on her full bottom lip. The large man brushed past her and began pushing a few buttons on the control panel. “Cheetara, I would like you up six am, your coming with me in the morning .” Lion-o ordered with out even looking in the woman’s direction. Cheetara’s eyes grew wide. “Back to Snow’ mans castle? But Lion-o I’m sure that you don’t need me.” She heard herself complain before she realized what she had just said. Lion-o stood, and turned, he leaned his large body back and folded his enormous arms across his chest. “That wasn’t a request Tara.” The alpha male spat angrily. The Mummified remains of Mumm-Ra rematerialized deep underground. “Vallen!” He roared. “You should have found it by now!” The barbaric looking scientist spun on his heals. “Mumm-Ra I’m getting close.” “Close…. Close! Do you understand that I need it found now!” The Celtic wizard hissed as he reached a decomposing hand up towards the large humans’ shirt. The mummy tugged the man down to his eye level. Vallen’s deep blue eyes squinted and his jaw clenched. The humanoid couldn’t bear to even be in the same room with Mumm-Ra let alone being face to face with him. “I saved you, and this is how I’m repaid?” Fowl smelling saliva spit into the scientists’ face, as the Mummy went off rambling in his tangent. “Mumm-Ra just look at all the progress I have made.” The man stood and pulled his shirt away from the mummy’s grasp. He held up his long arm above him, the cavern that they were standing in was enormous, there was hoses, tubes and all kinds of mechanical operation equipment all about the cave. Lining the wall was three ten feet tall vials of strange liquid that bubbled in the glass encasement. Horrifying creatures rushed in and out of the tunnels that branched out in all directions. These creatures looked like they had been made out of left over body parts. They carried large digging equipment under their arms as they worked tirelessly excavating more of the land. Vallen ran his hand down the side of his large scar that trailed down his left eye. “I promise you, soon we will find it.” He said as he walked cockily back towards his machines. The ancient wizard of goodness had entered the black pyramid. He strode arrogantly into the home of the Devil Priest waking with a forthright purpose. Wizz-Ra past the tomb area where Mumm-Ra’s sarcophagus rested, the Prince placed his hand upon the rock faced surface and pushed on one of the ancient cartouches. The dusty wall slid aside and he entered the secret room that hadn’t been open for centuries. The smell of must and decay was almost stifling. Wizz-Ra winced and placed his palm over his nose, then traveled deeper into the bowls of the mummy’s home. The tunnel grew smaller and more confined, the deeper Wizz-Ra penetrated. Finally his hand reached a dead end. The wizard lowered himself onto his knees, his long thin fingers traced a pattern into the surface of the sandstone rock. He recited an incantation, and then a yet another wall slid aside. Wizz-Ra reached through the cobwebs and finally his hand grasped tight to a golden and emerald amulet. The prince let out a relieved sigh, what he had hidden so many years ago still remained untouched. The bitter cold of Hook Mountain stung Cheetara’s face as it slapped her with another freezing burst of icy wind. The woman clutched at her coat with a trembling hand, she once again lifted the fur lined hood around her ears. Cheetara shook her head, and grabbed the wooden shovel back into her palm, once again ready to move more snow away from the foundation of the castle. The cheetah was miserable she was disheartened at Lion-o’s unusual treatment of her. Lion-o was more angry then she could ever remember him being, he had spent all morning grumbling at her for one reason or the other. What ever he was mad at was indeed focused upon her. The nobles of Thundera had worked feverishly all day, until sun began to set. The weather had grown increasing horrid until it was hailing large pelts of icy snow. And the Thundercats were about to quit and head for home. When the Snow Man grabbed Tygra on the arm, drawing the tiger’s attention to the sky as it blackened into the most tremendously powerful storm. “Thundercats, you shall never make it home in this weather.” Tygra cringed realizing that the Snow man was correct. “I have more then enough room here, you must stay the night for your own protection.” Cheetara’s heart sunk, and with a dispirited sigh she joined the group in the castle to take refuse from the weather. Her mind was still with Wizz-Ra, she had left the Cat’s Lair without any way of getting a hold of the handsome wizard, and she hoped that he was ok. Once inside the giant castle the Thundecats removed there coats and boots, and then followed the Snow man into the dining room where his servants had prepared a hot meal for all of them. The wind howled viciously outside rocking the glass covered windows, as another torrent of ice slammed against them. Cheetara took her seat just across the table from Lion-o, Tygra was seated next to her and the Snow Man sat to the left of Lion-o. The servants began to pass and fill up the empty glasses and dishes with the most welcoming smelling food. After the dinner was finished, they quietly sat back and spoke about the plans for the castle and about what Panthro’s invention had discovered. Each tremor was about six hours apart, some were more powerful then others. But they did come in at regular intervals, which meant that they were not natural occurrences. Lion-o’s kept glancing up from his conversation to look at the beautiful woman who sat across from him. Guilt kept gnawing at him as he recalled all the harsh and unnecessary things that he had said to her. Lion-o reached up the large glass of juice that sat before him and sipped on the sweet wonderful nectar. The lions mind was tortured with what the Bulkan had rushed to tell him, and he just couldn’t shirk it from his head. He knew that soon he would have to face Cheetara, but he was still so angry that now was not a good idea for confrontations. Snow man leaned back and crossed his legs, his claw like hand trailed down the side of his long brown and gray beard. “Cheetara, your very quiet tonight I hope that all is well?” “Yes I’m fine,” The cheetah pretended, and replied with a fake smile. “Just tired.” “She’s just exhausted from all of her hard work yesterday at the lair.” Lion-o said snidely. Cheetara’s eyes lit with anger. “What is that supposed to mean?” Lion-o shook his head, “Never mind.” The cheetah burst up from the table and banged an irate fist into the wood. “What is with you today Lion-o? I have had just about enough of this attitude. If you have something to say to me then say it.” Lion-o’s nostrils flared but he chose not to make things worse by saying any more. The cheetah’s piercing eyes locked with Lord Lion-o’s. She hissed and then backed away from the table. “Excuse me Snow Man, but I have grown tired of the company.” Lion-o cringed as he watched the woman walk off in a huff, and disappear down the well lit hall way. The lion rubbed the back of his neck with a sweaty palm and the corner of his lip turned into a scowl. “I better go talk to her.” Tygra nodded, “ I think you better.” Lion-o’s large body lifted from his seat and then rushed to follow the she cat. Tygra turned towards his friend the Snow knight. “Please for give us, we normally don’t act like this.” A rumbling laughter came out of Snow man, “Don’t worry, besides it looks like our young Lord is a bit jealous about something today, he’ll get over it soon enough.” Tygra reached towards a brilliant red apple that was sitting in a decorative pile, he lifted it to his lips and took a bite. “Jealous?” “Trust me, I have been married to five women, I have seen the signs of envy many times, that is defiantly what is plaguing our Lion-o.” Tygra let out a small chuckle. “Interesting, I never thought of that.” Cheetara was already at the main door when Lion-o finally caught up to her. “Where are you going?” “Out!” She screamed and wrapped the fur coat around her shoulders and quickly bolted through the door. The woman gasped as the frost bitten air stung into her flesh like a knife. She rolled her eyes knowing that this was not one of her more brilliant ideas, but still with Lion-o standing at the door she couldn’t just turn around and go back inside. The frustrated cheetah trudged through the deep snow and around the side of the palace, to where the Thundertank was still parked, only it had snowed so much that she could barely make out its shape in the darkness. Lion-o grumbled as he tugged on his large woolen and leather boots, swathed his coat around him then followed the woman into the deadly storm. The moment he stepped out side was when another giant tremor rocked the earth. Lion-o stammered back, barely he dodged when the main archway of the castle came crashing inn, almost on top of him. Ice and snow pummeled down in a barrage of falling snow and mortar. Lion-o whisked off the derbies, then frantically tried to look about in the dim light. Lion-o’ finally was able to get his footing and he rushed around the other side of the castle, following the woman’s still fresh foot prints . His heart dropped into his stomach when he realized that where the ThunderTank once stood, was now gone. The huge ice field had degenerated and the whole side of Hook Mountain collapsed, sending an avalanche of snow cracking and breaking in a wave of destruction down the hill. The lion cautiously neared the edge and peered down, he was able to see the reflective surface of the back end of the Tank sticking out of the snow, and it had slid about seventy feet and then imbedded itself into the rock face. Lion-o’s hand plunged into his claw shield; he latched the end onto the granite stone of the mountain, bravely lion swung down the jagged face of the cliff, landing in a deep pile of snow and rock. He dared not call out to Cheetara he didn’t want to inflict yet another avalanche with the noise, however he was panic-stricken. The Sword of Omens helped guide him to the cheetah’s lifeless body laying half way buried in the snow. A barrage of wind and hale sized pellets made it impossible to see good enough to ascertain what her injuries truly were. So the strong male grabbed the woman tight into his arms, and then headed towards the tank. He laid her down only long enough to open the trunk and pull three blankets and a flash light from it. He quickly forced open the hatch and tossed in the equipment, and then lifted the woman carefully inside. The male made a make shift bed with the blankets and then placed the woman on the floor of the Tank. The lamp singed to life, and he lowered himself to the she cats side. Lion-o sighed with relief, when he felt her wrist and found a pulse, she was unconscious but still alive, and for that he was grateful. Lion-o lifted his hand towards his face to wipe of the water that was dripping down his hair, that’s when he noticed crimson staining his palms. Panicked the young lord began to search Cheetara’s quiet body, at first glance her coat looked wet but what he ascertained to be water, wasn’t. “Blood.” He gasped as he noticed the deep tear in the coat that she was wearing. Lion-o tugged the coat from Cheetara’s chest. An enormous shard of ice had penetrated her breast. Just a few more inches to the left and it would have pierced her heart. He had to remove it, if he didn’t his friend could very well bleed to death. Lion-o's long fingers carefully felt around the area. “Damn its deep.” The lion cussed angrily. He reached across and popped open one of the drawers inside the tank and pulled out a first aide kit, he remove the medical thread and some aesthetic cleaner. The man unzipped his cumbersome coat and tossed it. Then carefully he leaned down to see what he could do to help the woman. The lion grasped the ice tight in his palm and tugged it from her breast. After flinging the deadly shard he took one of the blankets and applied pressure to the woman’s chest to stop the bleeding. He gave it a few moments and then carefully pulled back the saturated blanket. With a trembling nervous hand he began to tear into her body suit ripping it so he could clearly see the damage. Lion-o closed his eye’s he was so distraught and upset he blamed himself, and his short temper for cursing this tragedy upon Cheetara. However the only thing left to do was to fix it, Lion-o leaned lower and began to cleanse and sew her beautiful pale flesh together. The pain began to revive the she cat, and she began to stir beneath his hands. The woman moaned, pulled away when she awoke to find him hovering above her. Lion-o grasped her shoulder, “Tara don’t move, you have been injured and I’m only trying to help.” He said in the most comforting tone he could muster. The cheetah nodded in understanding and then again closed her eyes, Lion-o’s hand brushed back onto her bare flesh. His fingers tightened around the wound, the sharp point of the needle again pierced her skin, in and out until finally his work was complete. He cut the thread and then Lion-o cleaned some of the dried blood from her full breast. He only went as low as the wound had been, he tried to be a gentleman and not reveal too much of her. The lion slowly backed away, and rinsed off his hands, with a bottle of water, which at this point was more ice then liquid but still it did its job. Lion-o once again fumbled through the first aid kit to get a bandage and some pain medication. “I’m so very sorry.” He whispered in a reverent tone when he resumed his position and crouched next to her. “I did not want something to happen to you just because of my horrendous behavior.” Lion-o said as he tenderly bandaged the area, to keep it clean. Cheetara turned her face towards Lion-o’s, and painfully weak smile played across her pale lips. “Its so cold.” She whimpered. Lion-o nodded and then tugged off one of his sweaters from his chest. “You have lost a lot of blood, and your clothes are saturated, put this on it will keep you warm.” The large male reached down and handed it to the she cat. “Do you need help?” “Perhaps just to sit up, I seem to be a bit dizzy.” Lion-o’s handsome face burst back to life as he reached for the thin woman and pulled her into his arms. “Thank you Lion-o.” She whispered. “Nothing to thank me for.” He let go of Cheetara and turned his back so she could change. “Do you remember what happened?” “Somewhat, I felt another quake and then everything fell out from beneath my feet.” Cheetara moaned when she pulled her tight suit from her body. “You ok?” “Just a bit sore.” The woman replied and then tugged the lions beautiful brown turtle neck sweater down, past her hips. “I hope that Snow knight and Tygra are ok, I wasn’t able to check on them and the front of the castle had crumbled.” Lion-o sighed, “We must be completely buried by the snow now. I don’t think that there’s much chance for us to escape and climb back up the mountain with out us freezing first.” Cheetara tossed her blood stained clothing off into the corner, and then turned and placed a hand on Lion-o’s broad shoulder. Lion-o looked back and smiled when he saw the woman in his oversized sweater. He snatched up one of the clean blankets and draped it around her and carefully he frisked her arms. “Feeling better?” Cheetara quietly nodded. Lion-o took her hand in his and laid two white pills in her palm. “For the pain.” He also passed her one of the emergency water bottles that they always carried in the Tank. Lion-o blew his warm breath into his freezing hands, trying to get some feeling back into his numb fingers. Icy fog stirred in the air when he exhaled, causing him to shiver when he realized just how cold it truly was. Lion-o contemplated putting back on his coat but it was so wet, it wouldn’t do much good. The lion began to straighten the third blanket to keep some insulation from the metal of the tank and Cheetara. “Come lie down, get some rest. It’s going to be a long night.” The cheetah crawled towards Lion-o she placed her hand upon his massive chest and pushed him backwards onto the blanket. Lion-o grinned cockily, “I’m the one taking care of you remember?” “Well you know what they say, to protect from hyperthermia you must create body heat, it’s a survival instinct.” Lion-o roared with laughter as the woman nestled herself into his arms, and laid her head upon his chest. “Cheetara that only pertains to being completely naked, is that what you’re offering?” He questioned with a mischievous wink. “Don’t get your hopes up, I’m not that frozen…yet.” “Well, I could crack a window if you think that would help.” Cheetara smirked at the lions obvious attempts at being funny, “Stop, it hurts to laugh.” She was slightly mused by his cleaver nature, but she wasn’t going to let him know that. Lion-o sighed and then reached his left hand up towards the cheetahs’ face. His long fingers found there way into her soft spotted hair. “Cheetara, I just have to apologize again for my short temper today. Please find it in your heart to forgive me.” The cheetah rose up on her elbow and glanced curiously at the young lord. “Are you ever going to tell me what was that all about?” Lion-o cringed. “I’d rather not.” “Please.” Cheetara begged with big wanting eyes. Lion-o gritted his jaw in desperation, locking it from speaking, he bit the corner of his full lip, and wondered if he bit it hard enough, and long enough perhaps that question would just evaporate like the snow on a warm summers day. Still she glared at him with that look, the lion rolled his eyes, knowing that it wasn’t going to go away, then began. “I … know what happened between you and Wizz-Ra yesterday. Omiggron the leader of the Bulkans spied on you, and couldn’t wait to report what he saw to me.” Cheetara’ covered her lips with a trembling palm. “Lion-o… I’m so very sorry.” “Don’t be, you don’t have to explain anything. The worst part of it was that I got slapped in the face with the truth. I have taken for granted that you would always be around me, and it has haunted me ever since to think, that you found love and would leave me and the Thundercats.” “Lion-o I’d never leave, you are my life.” “Love makes people change Tara, don’t make promises that you can’t keep.” Lion-o quickly tugged his hand from her hair and whisk the tears that threatened to fall from his large amber eyes. Cheetara’s began to play nervously with Lion-o’s sweater pulling it from her hands. A long silence ensued and then Lion-o rolled over on his side and faced the woman. “Do you love him?” The cheetah faked a smile. “I barely know him.” Lion-o sighed deeply, “I have a confession to make, I made you come with me on this mission just to keep you away from Wizz-Ra.” Cheetara crunched up her nose and narrowed her eyes. “Why?” “To keep you with me longer, but that was wrong of me. I shouldn’t get in the way, if Wizz-Ra is the man who will make you happy. Then I should stand besides you and not against you.” The lions voice trailed off, and he reached towards her hand and played subconsciously with her two white colored bracelets that adorned her arm. “Its just that I couldn’t help my actions, I have the strongest feeling that you belong with me, right here nestled in my arms.” Cheetara’s eyes began to tear. “I do belong here.” Her lips betrayed her, before her brain had the time to think about what she had just said. With out a word Lion-o grabbed her and pulled her into his chest, his large muscled arms wrapped themselves tightly around her small frail frame protecting her, holding her so tightly. Cheetara assumed that this was his one way of keeping her, not letting her go, and that’s exactly what he did all through the cold dark night. Spirits of Egypt Chapter 2 “Doomsday machine.” Tygra and the Snow knight had worked without stop since the main arch way of the castle had collapsed. The tiger was besides himself, he hoped above all hope that Lion-o and Cheetara were not trapped under the rubble. Or worst thought out in this deathly weather, the temperature had dropped to twenty below freezing, which gave a very small chance for survival, if they were out in the elements. “Jaga protect them.” The desperate tiger whispered as he tossed another beam across the floor. The sun had just begin to rise up when Tygra and Snow knight were able to clear the last bit if debris and were able to venture out to see what had become of there friends. Snow Meow burst outside obviously he was able to track down Lord Lion-o’s sent. Tygra had to run to keep up with the big white cat. The group carefully made there way down the side of the mountain, the snow cat pounced on top of the tank that was now deeply buried. He let out a mournful roar and began to scratch the area. With a knowing glance the two tired men began to dig through the ice crusted snow, inching their way though the powder. Inside the Tank Cheetara began to stir at the sound of the strange scuffling noise, just above her. She inched her stiff body up and then carefully began to nudge the sleeping lord. “Lion-o... Lion-o.” The ice cold lion began to wake as he coughed and then slowly rose. “What’s wrong?” His voice croaked out. “I believe our rescue team has finally arrived.” The woman said as she pointed towards the upper hatch. The shuffling from above continued and then answered with a loud bang, and a familiar voice echoed. “Lion-o, Cheetara. Are you there?” On the bank of the great river, the wizard had been busily conjuring his new Palace, rebuilding it brick for brick out of the remains of the sandstone world that he had lost thousands of years before. The wizard had erected it just on the out skirts of the Forbidden Desert. This was going to be his new home in which he could take command and watch over his ancient emissary, with a cautious gaze. The wizard sighed a bit troubled over his encounter that morning with the large male Panther, at the Cat’s Lair. Wizz-Ra had gone to collect Cheetara, so she could join him in this revival of his ancient home, but to his dismay she was not there. Something was wrong, he felt it.. however he had to shrug his feeling aside and finish his construction of his Palace, because with out its protection he would still be vulnerable. Although his strength and magic was growing, now that he had regained the amulet of Ra. It would take time for him to be powerful enough to once again be formidable against his immortal foe. It was midnight when the Thundertank roared back into the safety of the mighty Lair’s hanger, a trip that was to only take one day. Ended up being stretched over forty eight hours, of hard, snow filled disaster. Cheetara and Lion-o were both feverishly sick with the flu, they were miserable. But at least the only thing that brought a bit of comfort is that they were no longer fighting. Tygra smirked, as he watched Lion-o shake and shudder, and then let out a deep echoing sneeze. “This is what happens when you fight with women.” The large Lion moaned and leaned further back in his seat. “Don’t make fun, I’m sick as … a dog Tygra.” “And that was who’s fault?” Tygra teased, with a playful wink. “I’m just so glad you followed her Lion-o. I just couldn’t of imagined what would have occurred if you didn’t. We would have been bringing back her frozen body now.” Lion-o sniffled, and looked towards the tiger. “But if it hadn’t been for me, she would have never gone out side to begin with.” Tygra put a hand on the lions shoulder, “Don’t worry, you more then made up for it. Come on lets get you two to bed, before Snarf has a tizzy fit.” After the engine silenced, Tygra bounded into the back of the Tank where Tara was laying across the rows of chairs. She was nestled inside a warm thick pelt of fur that Snow knight had given her. The gentle tiger smoothed a palm across the cheetah’s clammy skin. “Cheetara, were home.” The cheetah’s eyes flickered slowly open, and she sat up with a moan. Lion-o’s cough deepened, as he climbed out of the front seat. He stood watching as Tygra and Cheetara slowly emerged from the back, the lion smiled softly as he watched her walk towards him, she was still emerged in his oversized sweater. She’s so beautiful, The lion thought to himself as he watched Cheetara approach. The cheetah stopped for just a moment and pat the lion on his cheek, then passed by. “Feel better Lion-o.” The lion let out another giant sneeze and followed behind the others, he was so exhausted, and so sick that he didn’t care to eat, didn’t want any thing more then to climb into his sheets. Just for a little while he wanted to completely forget that the world existed. A soft feel of fingers trailed up the cheetah’s bare arm, and towards her shoulder blade, followed the line of her neck and entered her hair brushing the golden spotted locks from her face. Lips, powerful lips softly kissed her, deep inviting and delicious. The cheetah opened her blood shot eyes, and wrapped her arms tightly around Wizz-Ra’s neck. “Sabah al kalehear. Habbbie.” The noble Egyptian’s spoke, in his deep accented voice that made the cheetah moan at his very words. Cheetara smiled. “I am not sure what you just said, but I like it.” The wizard grinned arrogantly, “You had me worried, do you know that?” Cheetara rolled over, and grabbed a bundle of tissues from off her desk. “Ahhh, ahhh, Chew!” Wizz-Ra smoothed a caring hand over her forehead. Then leaned back into her bed and pulled the sick she cat into his loving arms. She snuggled in contently, and traced her finger down his bare tanned chest. “I’m sorry. … we didn’t plan on staying so long, but things happened.” “Yes I know.. Panthro was kind enough to tell me.” Wizz-ra sighed, “He said that you were injured?” “It’s nothing.” Cheetara replied with a false note behind her voice. “Don’t assume that you can fool this old man, she cat. It is not a easy task to do.” Wizz-ra teased. The cheetah blushed and moved slightly rearranging herself in his big bronze colored arms, she let out a painful squeal when her stitches brushed against the wizard. Wizz-ra’s dark eyes penetrated hers. “Cheetara. .. there is something I truly want to talk to you about.” He said very seriously now. He grabbed her as he sat up on the bed and swiveled to look directly towards her. “I have … rebuilt my home, my powers are slowly returning, and the only thing that I wish to make my life complete is to have you besides me. Marry me Cheetara.” The cheetah blinked a few times trying to register what she had just heard. To her it wasn’t making any sense. She stuttered. “I… I… hardly know you Wizard.” The mans lips curled into a devious grin. “Well what a better way to get acquainted.” Cheetara ducked her head and played nervously with her fingers. “There is so much going on now Wizz-Ra… I just cant answer you… not now.” With a sweep of the wizards strong hands he grabbed her wrist and slid a beautiful antique Egyptian embellished ring on her finger. “All I’m asking is that you think of it… and this is just a small token of my adoration for you, beautiful warrior of Thundera.” Wizz-Ra slowly backed off the bed, “ You need your rest Cheetara, to heal your wounds and rejuvenate your flesh.” The cheetah watched the archaic wizard with amazement as he spun his hands around the other one, and began to chant something in his native tongue. His large gold armlets began to glow. When he opened his palm there was a soft cream like concoction on his hand. The cheetah scrunched up her nose in wonder. “This will ease your pain, and make you sleep.” With out so much as another word he moved towards her and tugged down her blouse, then carefully smeared the substance across the bruised and sewn part of her pale flesh. Cheetara was unsure if she should hug him, or slap him. But the moment the cream soothed across her chest she felt drowsy and swooned a bit. “Rest…” The wizard spoke softly in her ear, and lowered her back towards the bed. The cheetah’s eyes were so heavy and his voice echoed in her head. “I love you….Cheetara.” his deep accented voice rang like a enchanting hypnotic bell. Lord Lion-o reluctantly shut the door to his bed chamber and stumbled outside in the hall. His eyes were watering, and his throat as raw as if it had been scrubbed with sandpaper. He coughed, dreading the intense burning that would soon follow, but he needed medicine, and that was the only reason for him escaping from his bed chamber. The large sick lion wrapped his black robe tighter around his waist and made his way down the hall, towards the medical room. He hated Pumyra’s cough syrup with a passion, he’d rather drink oil.. but today even that horrid stuff was worth inhaling. Just to get rid of the pain in his throat. “Lion-o!” Called out an unfamiliar voice from just behind the lion. He spun quickly only to cringe inwardly when he realized the accent, came from Wizz-Ra who had obviously returned, and was exiting from Cheetara’s room. That in itself did not bode well with the Lion. He grumbled, sniffled, and scrunched through his messy scarlet colored mane. “Wizz-Ra.” Lion-o rasped out. The Wizard grabbed tight to Lion-o’s hand. “Its wonderful to see you again, my friend.” Lion-o faked a smile. He wished the feeling was mutual, but he just couldn’t get over his impending fears. The unnerving sensation that the wizard wanted more from the Thundercats, then just their friendship. The Wizard fought back his own sense of amusement, the way that Lion-o felt about him was all to clear, and it made the ancient warrior chuckle inwardly. “I just want to thank you.. for your noble actions, for all that you have done to save Cheetara.” “Oh… Umm.. Thank you Wizz-ra.” Lion-o said feeling the part of a fool. “It was nothing.” “Lion-o, I would really like to have a talk with you. If you can spare a few moment’s this morning.” The wizard said finally retracting his hand from the Lion-o strong grasp. “Actually I needed to go get some medication for my throat Wizz-Ra…perhaps it could wait for another day?” The lion covered his mouth and coughed louder, it was followed by intense cringing. “I tell you what... I will cure your ailments and then we have that talk.” The wizard said cocking his painted black brow. Lion-o laughed “No offence Wizard… but I can manage with medicine.” “You don’t trust me? Tell me Thundercat… have I ever done anything to make you think the worst of me?” Wizz-ra’s bronze colored hands began to need his golden goatee that rested just beneath his chin, and arrogantly smiled towards the lion, almost daring him. “Its not you parse, but I haven’t had good luck with Egyptian wizards, in the past.” “Fair enough lord Lion-o…” Wizz-Ra grinned. “However… I promise that I will change your mind .” Lion-o sighed, knowing that the right thing to do was trust this man, to at least give him the benefit of the doubt. “Very well Wizard… prove me wrong.” The lion taunted. With a pass of his dark sun drenched hand, a bottle appeared. “This could be very deadly poison, or medicine Lion-o. With one drink you could fall to the ground, crumbling into decomposing ashes.” The archaic wizard laughed. “Or you could be cured.” The Lion shook his head. “I am unsure of the game you’re trying to play.” “Game?” Wizz-Ra held out the black vial. Lion-o looked towards the unusual man trying to judge him, then took the glass tube popped open the lid and swallowed. It was sweet, tasty, and smooth, as it made its way down towards his dry scratched throat. He could almost feel it healing him, washing the germs away. “Wow.” Lion-o said his voice now back to normal. “Not all people are evil Lion-o… not all men can be judged by the actions of others.” The wizard smirked and retrieved the vial from the lion’s great hand. It disappeared , returning from where ever it had came. Lion-o nodded. “I’m sorry Wizz-Ra…. I do owe you an apology.” “No.. you owe me a talk.” Wizz-Ra cocked his head back laughing. “That I do.” Lion-o motioned for the human to follow him. “How about we talk over breakfast, now I’m starving.” Once Snarf cleared the dishes away from the table and excused himself the two men were alone to talk freely. Lion-o leaned the chair backwards so it was supporting him on only two legs, as he rocked and tapped his long claws on the table. “So I take it that you saw Cheetara this morning?” Wizz-Ra nodded and sipped on his black coffee. “Yes.” He said nonchalantly. Lion-o raised one of his eye brows. “Oh.. and how is she?” “In a lot of pain… but would never divulge that information freely.” He smiled. “Then how did you?” The Lion scuffled through his mane, not really knowing if he wanted to know. He quickly changed the subject. “Wizz-Ra, I know about Cheetara and you, and about that pick nick swim.” “Oh really?” The wizard seamed a bit surprised. “Cheetara told you?” “Yes… well not really. There are so many people who would love to spy or to even break up the Thundercats if they could, they were more than thrilled to tell me dirt about her.” Lion-o’s gaze lowered. “Are you angry?” “I’m hurt.” Lion-o said honestly .”Not really angry. I cannot tell Cheetara or you how to live your lives.” The lions gaze returned to the wizards. “I’m going to warn you though!” “Warn me, about what?” Wizz-Ra said slightly amused. “If I were to find out that you hurt Cheetara in anyway, or forced yourself on her. Then let me just tell you, there will be hell to pay.” The wizard smiled confidently. “Were friends now Wizz-Ra. It wouldn’t stay that way.. Do you understand me?” The bronzed sorcerer leaned in. “Perfectly Lion-o. Now let me tell you, that I would never hurt Cheetara, just like you I only want to protect her.” The lion nodded feeling like he had spoken his mind. “Now.. I will be just as honest with you …. Young lord. I have asked Cheetara to wed me… and I want nothing more then that.” Lion-o’s jaw dropped open, the lion sat stunned as the human continued. “I will give her all that she ever desires, she will want for nothing.” The Lions heart sunk into the deepest depths of his stomach.. So this was it… the moment he had been dreading. The point of no turning back, one wrong move would sever the cheetah’s bonds from him entirely. Or if he didn’t fight for what he wanted, all that he had been dreaming for years would slip through his fingers, like sand. Irreversible, un-catch- able, The lion sighed completely disheartened. “What did she say?” He managed to croak out. “Nothing … yet.. I’m not pushing her into the decision, but.” The wizard hesitated. And for the first time Lion-o actually saw fear behind the Celtic mans eyes. “She needs to get away from this life… she wont last much longer under these conditions.” He breathed deeply. “There is something coming Lion-o… something dreadful . Cheetara’s life will be in grave danger, unless we act now.” The Lions’ eyes widened. “What!” ~*~~*~~*~ Once Wizz-Ra left the lair, the Lion’s head was spinning and reeling with all the information that the Egyptian had divulged. He prayed silently that the human was wrong but in his heart, he was positive that this man would not lie to him. Although the Wizard stated that he did not foresee all that will happen, his ancient gods had allowed him enough of a premonition to be leery of the future and especially of what was to become of Cheetara. If saving her life meant giving her up… Lion-o was prepared to let her go. The lion soon found himself standing just out side the cheetahs bed chamber, debating on if he should violate her privacy and enter, or just stand there looking lost in the hall. The lion slunk his large body through the door, and meandered towards the bed. Wizz-Ra had mentioned that he gave her medicine and that it would cause her to sleep for a few hours, unable to be woken. He hoped so.. or he would have some explaining to do. Lion-o took one deep breath after the other trying to calm his nerves as he glanced down towards the sleeping angel, nestled in her mauve colored sheets. Her beautiful golden locks were strewn about the pillow. Her soft full lips, frozen in a sleeping pout, as she softly purred in her dreams. His eyes trailed down. Towards her neck and the beautiful spots that adorned her shoulders. Her shirt a soft linen material that hugged to every shapely silhouette, the tethering lace was half way undone exposing much of her curves. The lion wiped stray tears from his eyes. “I can never loose you to death…. Not now.. not ever.” Lion-o lowered himself to the edge of the bed and took her hand tightly. ‘If saving you, means giving you up…. Then I will set you free, to love the wizard.” Lion-o said painfully. The alarms to the lair, began to scream its metallic warring, which quickly brought the lion back to his senses and his duty. With one more quick glance he rushed from the room and down the hall until he bumped into Tygra. Who was coming to find him. “What has happened? “Another Earth Tremor, all of Snowman’s castle has crumbled.” The tiger said breathless. “Nothings left.” “Great Jaga! We must bring him and his servants here until we can sort all this out, that is if there still alive!” “They are… I was able to get a communiqué from them, but they will need blankets and shelter. Panthro, I, and the Thunderkittens, will go… you and Cheetara stay here recuperate. We can handle this. And we will be back before you miss us!” Tygra turned and bolted back towards the hanger, and the waiting Tank that was ready to go. Vallen roared with Laughter, he was getting close, so close to his prize. As soon as the ancient slab, the one that Mummsie had hired him to find, would soon be retrieved. Mumm-Ra would grant the scientist anything that his heart desired. His tireless creatures slid up and down through the giant tunnels that ran the entire length of Hook Mountain. The large human moved towards what he called his ‘Doomsday Machine.’ Its vast cords and wires stuck out looping in all directions. This was the life force vat, and each of the enormous containers held what was left of some of the local indigenous creatures that once lived. This was their essence, there soul’s. What was left after being sucked from a fresh victim was only a dry withered carcass. The scientist had been waiting decades for a chance to use his creation. Unfortunately the Thundercats had arrived on Third Earth and put a damper to one of his earlier capers. But now, with Mumm-Ra’s magic… the Thundecats had no idea what they were up against. And soon it would be their turn to be sucked dry. The Thunderian nobles amazing strength would be just enough. He wouldn’t need any more. The vials would be full and then his master plan could take effect. Wizz-Ra had returned to his newly erected palace, he was resting in one of his ancient chairs with its dog shaped black onyx handles. He was lost in thought and the most powerful emotion on his mind was something that seven thousand year’s trapped in his own dimension had never foreseen. The archaic wizard was head over heals in love with one amazing woman. He breathed, and leaned back removing the Enchanted helmet from his skull, and carefully placing it on the ground just next to his Egyptian throne. The human’s eyes began to close, he was almost asleep when a decomposing hand rested on the top of the noble princes head. The wizard fell out of his seat when a strong jolt of electricity surged through his body, draining him. “Mumm-Ra!” The wizards dark eyes lit, and he gasped. The form before him was no longer his old emissary but a walking, flesh shredded pile of bones, and linen bandages. The mummy’s blue colored lips crooked. “Welcome back to the world of the Living Wizz-Ra! How much I have missed you.” He grinned cockily and laughed, long streams of saliva dripped from his rotten teeth. Wizz-Ra fought to stand on slightly shaken legs. What ever Mumm-Ra had done to him had indeed weakened him. The Prince almost felt woozy, as the carcass of the archaic mummy began to scoot towards him. “Well look at you…. You don’t look a day over thirty five wizard… and me?” His bony hand lifted, and trials of lightning came from his fingers and smite the Prince in the chest. “You’re still weak Wizz-Ra….. only this time the Gods wont save you!” Wizz-Ra cringed and forced himself to stand, he tore the amulet from his chest that was now burning a deep scar into his flesh. “You assumed that that worthless piece of gold would save you… you hid it in my Pyramid only to have it be useless against me.” “Mawahwah.!” His dried husks of arms rose towards the sky. “Year’s ago it would have been enough, but not now!” A swirling vortex of air began to encircle the mummy his bandages and red cloak tussled about his limbs. “Ancient Sprits of Evil Transform this decayed form… to Mumm-Ra the ever living!” The creature spoke, as his frail body grew in size so did his powers. His shape once misshapen and twisted became strong, and loomed over the wizard in his new and horrific form. Wizz-ra tried to focus his dizzy head, and gathered his powers. His one weapon, the seal of Ra lay burning on the ground. He had not prepared enough that was obvious, but he also had not waited in limbo for thousands of years just to be defeated now. “Taumus… Rackana!” The Prince shouted and a great heat, and light, illuminated from his body. Mumm-Ra writhed in pain, the powerful scourer had blinded him, he stumbled back and shot about the room hoping to strike Wizz-Ra. The mummy almost succeeded a few times, but Wizz-Ra managed to jump out of the way. He rolled and clambered into the edge of his stone table. The mummy’s eyes returned to normal way too soon, and from his belt he retrieved the dreaded Sword of Plundar, with its flaming blades. Slamming it down with such ferocity towards Wizz-Ra that the table broke in half, burring the Prince beneath the rubble, Wizz-Ra hissed, and vanished. Mumm-Ra spun, and twisted around. “It will do y
