Merry Christmas To You... Part 1 Merry Christmas To You… part 1

A small cheery red box with a bright green bow was placed into her hands followed by a gentle caress of masculine lips upon her cheek.
“Merry Christmas babe.” came the loving voice of her husband.
Linda smiled broadly and pulled the wrapping off and opened the velvet box found. Once the hinged top popped open, she gasped in surprise.
“Oh Greg, this is too much!”
The man sitting beside her only smiled and lifted the spectacular gold and diamond heart shaped necklace and putting it around her slender neck. “Nothing is too good for you baby.”
Linda gazed lovingly into her husband’s eyes and leaned forward to give him a kiss when a familiar voice from behind her said. “Oh, pretty! So are those diamonds real or cubic zarconia?”
The young woman looked behind her, wondering who could be disrupting her perfect Christmas and wanting to give them a piece of her mind when she spied the culprit and immediately felt her mouth drop.
There, standing in her kitchen door gnawing on a turkey leg was Tygra, but unlike the Tygra she knew. Instead of his regular ramrod straight demeanor, he was laid back and absolutely disgusting, tearing chunks of meat out of the bone in his hand and throwing back a can of Budweiser.
More then that, his normally neat and well fitting outfit had been replaced by the oddest of costumes; green fur covered his body except for his face and he wore a loose, threadbare jacket and matching slack red cap, like a Thundarian version of the Grinch that stole Christmas.
If his costume and poor eating habits had been Linda’s only clue as to whom he resembled, it would have been enough, but he added to this picture by messing up his face, opening his mouth wide, and emitted the loudest, longest belch she had ever had the displeasure to hear.
“T-Tygra?” she asked unbelievingly.
The Tygra-Grinch grinned at her, threw the now bare turkey bone behind him, and strutted oddly towards her.
“Hey baby, let me show you what a real man can give ya for Christmas.” he said as he opened his mouth wide, strings of turkey meat stuck in his teeth and leaned down to kiss her.
Az screamed in fear and repulsion as she bolted straight up in bed. She panted heavily as she scanned her room, looking for the man of her nightmares, but began to calm down when she saw her familiar room in the Cats Lair.
Relieved, she threw herself back against the pillows and allowed her pounding heart to slow down. This wasn’t her first odd dream about the Thundercats and her ancient Holiday, but it sure had been the weirdest by far! Just last night she had had a dream where Lion-o had been dressed up as Jack Frost and Panthro had been spinning around singing “Dreadel, dreadel, dreadel.” The night before that, she had dreamed that everyone had been characters in the classic novel, The Christmas Carol.
Disgusted with herself for this latest one and how bizarre it had been, Az tried to get comfortable and return to sleep, but after 15 minutes, she sighed in frustration and got out of bed. Knowing that she would never get back to sleep until she had written everything in her dream diary, the human woman turned on her personal computer, opened the secret file that she dared not let anyone see and began typing.
“Dear Diary,
Well tonight’s dream really took the cake! I was remembering the last Christmas that Greg and I spent together before he got shipped off to Iraq when out of no where, Tygra showed up dressed like Jim Carrey from that Grinch movie!
I want to say ‘What is up with all these dreams?!’ but I know the answer to that already. Here it’s been 5 years and I haven’t celebrated any of the old holidays that I did back in my time.
I think subconsciously I’m trying to tell myself that it’s time to revive Christmas, but I’m not too sure just how open the others would be to that idea. I think Snarf alone would have a fit if I tried to bring a live tree inside the foyer and decorate it. LOL, I can hear him already. “Snarf, snarf, as if I haven’t enough to do, now I gotta clean up after a dead tree!”
Yeah, I think the cats would think I was off my rocker if I tried to start some of my old holiday traditions, but I miss them. Decorating the rooms with garland and bright felt bows, the fresh cut tree festooned in shiny garland and pretty colored glass balls, the egg nog, the Christmas cookies, the dinner, the presents, the mistletoe hung over the doors ready for a man to give a kiss to some unsuspecting woman…
Actually, I think the guys here ( as well as a few gals) would love that last part, but the rest they would never go for. It’s sad really, because I actually made a lot of things for everyone, intending to give them as birthday presents, but always forgot about them until it was too late. As Christmas presents they would be perfect.
Get a grip Linda! You know that it will never happen so just deal with it and forget about it!
Boy are my eyes getting heavy now. I really need to get to bed. Hopefully I can dream about the Rock or something like that. I need to get my mind off this damn holiday!”
Az ended her entry and went to save, but in her eye drooping state, she accidently clicked on the send command and turned her computer off, never knowing that someone other then herself would be reading her most recent diary page. As she slid under the covers and fell instantly to sleep, a light in Lord Lion-o’s room blinked, announcing a new message.
Lion-o stretched after his morning work out and headed to his office, ready to tackle more administrative duties that now befell him as King of New Thundera and her people. Requests for financial aide and legal disputes brought his happy enthusiasm down to near depression. So many people wanting things, needing supplies, fighting over scraps, and all of them expecting him to make it all better. It was often all he could do to answer all the requests and not just throw them all on the fire behind him.
After about an hour, he was relieved of his boredom by the sudden presence of Tara. The vibrant cheetah hybrid simply let herself in and threw herself into Lion-o’s lap, like she used to do once upon a time.
The young lord laughed when she threw her arms around his muscular neck. “What’s this? You messing around on Taz already?”
“Nope!” she said, smiling mischeviously. “Just bored and thought I would come to bug you for a bit.”
“And why am I the lucky receipant of your attention today?”
“Because I just wanted to, that’s all.” The hybrid said, but Lion-o knew she was keeping something back.
“So, when did Taz leave?”
Tara made a pouty face when she knew she had been caught and crossed her arms infront of her generous bosom. “Ten minutes ago and he won’t be back until late tonight!”
Lion-o sighed and leaned back in his chair. “Tara, you can’t be doing this. You made a choice and Taz ended up with you, not me. Just because Goldie Locks isn’t around to sample your honey doesn’t mean that you can come up here and see how ‘hard’ my chair is.”
Tara gapped at him, speechless. “Lion-o! How could you even think such a thing?!”
He glared at her, “Because I know you, that’s why!”
Tara glanced around as she tried to come up with a good answer. Truth was that when Taz wasn’t around, those old feelings did come back to haunt her. As she thought of something to say, she noticed the blinking light on Lion-o’s computer.
“You have a message.” she said simply.
“Don’t change the subject Tara!”
The hybrid ignored him and put in the password that opened the file that had been sent. Instantly she scanned the contents and whistled low.
“This sounds bad.”
“What?” Lion-o asked as he moved the shapely woman off his lap. Quickly he read the entry and sat back.
“I didn’t know she missed her old activities. I thought she was content with our ways.”
Tara shrugged. “It is understandable. She basically gave up everything to fit in with us and become a Thundercat. Of course she would miss some of familiar things from her time.”
Lion-o sighed, “I wish there was something I could do for her, but I don’t know anything about this holiday of hers.”
Tara paced around then stopped and turned to him, a grin on her face. “I think I know what we can do! Just leave everything to me.”
Here's my take of the Tygra-Grinch from the dream part of this story.

LMAO!! Az that is genius! I love the who Tygra dream sequence! He's the most serious and straight-laced of the Tcat's group.. it's hilarious to see him dropped into a scenario like that, even if it was a nightmare lol.
oh... and Goldie Locks? Riiiiiight... *crosses arms in front of chest and scoffs* Like Fro-dome has room to talk!

*snickers* I knew that would get your attention. Glad you liked it so far. Hopefully I'll have another chapter out tomorrow.
